NHL jersey size guidance

Looking for a NHL jersey size chart? We have not been able to open and confirm a current numeric chart for NHL jerseys from the maker or the official league shop, so we do not publish numbers for it. Inventing or averaging sizes would be worse than saying so. What we can give you is how to measure, how NHL fit tends to differ by tier, and where to find the maker's own chart.

NHL jerseys come in tiers such as Authentic Pro, Premium and Breakaway, and hockey cuts are built to fit over equipment, so they often feel generous. See why hockey jerseys run larger.

Frequently asked questions

What size NHL jersey should I buy?

Measure your chest, then match it to the maker's own chart on the listing for the exact jersey you want. We do not publish NHL numbers we cannot confirm.

Are jerseys true to size?

Not always. Fit depends on the maker and the tier: on-field style cuts tend to be closer to the body and fan versions looser. Use the maker's own chart for the exact product, and size up if you plan to layer.

How do I measure my chest for a jersey?

Wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and across the shoulder blades, keeping it level. Breathe out normally and do not pull the tape tight.

What if I am between two sizes?

Nike's guidance is to order the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit. If you want to layer a hoodie or thermal shirt underneath, take the larger one.

Is a size chart a body chart or a garment chart?

The charts on this site are body measurements, as published by the maker. Some retailers publish garment measurements instead, so never mix numbers from two different charts.

Do NHL jersey sizes differ between tiers?

Often, yes. Tiers can be cut differently, and a closer-fitting tier may need a size up. Check the chart that applies to the tier you are buying.

Does this tool store my measurements?

No. The finder runs entirely in your browser; your numbers are not sent anywhere, saved or shared.
