Two main tiers
Nike sells NBA jerseys as Swingman (Dri-FIT) and Authentic (Dri-FIT ADV). Both carry the same team graphics and come in editions such as Icon and City. The difference is how close each is to what players wear, which Nike's own descriptions spell out.
Swingman: the fan-friendly option
Nike describes the Swingman as inspired by what the pros wear on the hardwood, from squad details to lightweight, sweat-wicking mesh. It is the fan jersey, sold in men's and big kids' sizes.
Authentic: closer to on-court
Nike describes the Authentic as matching what the players wear, from team details to sweat-wicking fabric with plenty of stretch, designed for play at the highest level.

Icon, City and other editions
Each team's jersey comes in editions. Icon Edition and City Edition are two Nike lists; the City Edition changes each season. The edition changes the design and colors, not the tier, so check both the edition and the line before you order.
Which one should you buy?
